We received a logistics innovation award for the project “Warehousing and purchasing of auxiliary and overhead material for the company Alcan Děčín Extrusions s.r.o.”


HISTORY

The company was founded in 1997 by Jan Kučera as a local freight forwarding agency strongly focused on providing quality service for customers in Děčín involved in international trade. Thanks to an active workforce devoted to the provision of quality services, the firm has achieved important recognition throughout the Czech Republic as a specialist in forwarding small consignments and the quick process of customs clearance. Today the company is well known as a provider of a wide spectrum of logistics services, including connecting business partners on all continents. The original number of nine employees has since grown to more than 110 in the company. It has also been operating a new reloading station in Děčín since the start of 2002, which was acquired at a cost of approximately CZK 30 million, and has enabled further growth in the provision of services. A new logistics warehouse with space for 12,500 pallets has been in operation since 2005. It is one of the most modern logistics facilities in the region. A 10,500 m2 logistics warehouse has been in operation in Žatec since 2008. New warehouse with total capacity 4500 pallets was opened in Ústí nad Labem in October 2009.
